PROJECT: KIOSK on Wheels
In the summer of 2022, our old handcart was transformed into a “kiosk” on wheels.
The idea is to be out and about in the afternoons (Volkspark, Lorettoplatz, Steinlach).
Goal: to create a low-threshold meeting point, encourage encounters, and sell drinks and small snacks; run entirely by volunteers.
We are looking for YOU!
We need support to head out with this wonderful “kiosk.” Ideally, you would do this in pairs or as a family.
Tasks include: picking up the handcart from storage, making coffee and heading out, selling items and meeting nice people, then tidying everything up afterward and enjoying a pleasant afternoon. Free drinks and food are provided for you.

Award: Alliance of the Month – May 2020, and New Short Film with elkiko
elkiko is a member of the Local Alliance for Families. A new short film portrays the various projects of the Local Alliance for Families.
“Connecting people, strengthening families, supporting children – even in times of Corona”: Under this motto, we have been working in Tübingen since 2006 to ensure that families are given greater consideration in municipal political decision-making. Key topics of the Alliance’s work include poverty, meeting places, public spaces for children, health, information for families, and housing.
The Local Alliance for Families Tübingen is a network of around 70 committed associations, initiatives, and representatives from the city administration, municipal council, churches, and the business community. The shared goal is to promote participation and create good opportunities for all families.
In May 2020, our diverse work was recognized by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs as Alliance of the Month. In connection with this award, the Ministry funded a film portrait of the Tübingen Alliance.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the film could only be completed recently.
